1/ The Delta smelt (aka the endangered fish) and the Sacramento Reservoir are *not* to blame for the Santa Ynez Reservoir being closed for scheduled maintenance in Los Angeles or the fire hydrants running out of water.
2/ This disaster is the confluence of terrible wind, drought, and vegetation conditions. Climate change made it all measurably worse. It’s that simple.
